April Featured Speaker - John Tonai

The featured speaker for the month of April is John Tonai.  Mr. Tonai is currently an assistant professor at the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley, Colorado, where he is head of the Photo Imaging department. He previously taught at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California and at the University of Sioux Falls, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Prior to his career as a photography educator, he owned a commercial photography studio in Los Angeles, California.

Founded in 1956, Loveland Photographic Society offers loads of fun and educational opportunities for photography and camera buffs of all ages, levels, genres and expertise. Now one of the largest photography groups in the state with nearly 300 members, LPS serves Northeastern Colorado, including Fort Collins, Greeley and Loveland. Club members' experience and expertise ranges from professional, award-winning photographers to beginner, weekend enthusiasts.

Many exciting and fun-filled events and opportunities to be mentored, to learn the latest in digital photography techniques by lecture or in the field or just to socialize with other photo fanatics are planned on a regular basis.
