Photo-Hiking SIG

Photo-hike special interest group at Loveland Photographic SocietyThe Photohike SIG is for photographers who like to hike and take pictures.  Any member of the LPS may join us for a hike.  We encourage those who enjoy stopping, smelling and photographing the roses along the way! The group will have a hike approximately once a month.

Participants MUST register on-line beforehand for the hike and contact the group leader if they cannot make the hike.  Hikers must be in reasonable physical fitness that they can do the hike.  Hikes will be generally 3-6 miles and not overly strenuous except for maybe one a year.  We will post on the website the mileage of the upcoming hike and the approximate elevation.

Northern Colorado Underwater Photography Club

The club is for those who wish to share their underwater photos with others.  Bring them on a flash drive and we can put them up on the screen.

Our main focus is to help each other with suggestions for better photos, shareing of equipment and techniques in a very information atmosphere.

Meetings are every 2nd Tuesday of the month.  We socialize before the meeting.

People

Call for Input

Our People SIG group was more active in 2008 and early 2009.   We would like to identify your interests in this area and renew activity that is a fit for your interests.   As most of us know, photographing people offers one big difference from other topics and that is it usually involves interaction between the subject and the photographer.  Photographing people may be in natural light but may also involve artificial light control or supplement of natural light.   People photography can range from people in action, to creating moods, to formal portraiture, to candid captures as well as environmental portraits that communicate a place for the subject.

For those who are interested in photographing people I would like to hear about your thoughts, your subject ideas, your technique interests and your ideas on how we might organize a group to pursue this special interest area................People.

Please email me with your thoughts or ideas..........it would be interesting to see where we might go with this.
