With a little foresight, you can use this procedure to increase the Depth of Field (DOF) of a picture.  In this example, I captured two images of the same item, each having a different point of focus.  Using Lightroom, I sent these two images to Photoshop to blend together.  After the blend, I closed the composite image to send the picture back to Lightroom where it was automatically cataloged.
