Mission:
The primary objective of the Vice President is to preside over all general meetings and Board meetings when the President is unavailable, or vacates the office. He/she shall assist committee members as needed. The Vice President holds a voting position on the Loveland Photographic Society (LPS) Board of Directors, and should make every effort to attend all board meetings (six scheduled per year: first Tuesday of odd months) to help direct the club in the decision making process.
Basic Duties:
- Introduces new members at regular meetings.
- Acts as the president’s assistant as an ex-officio member of all committees.
- Assists various committee members and chairs to ensure that they have the resources necessary to fulfill their assignments. This could involve recruiting volunteers to join the committees.
- Recruits help to make sure that the facility is in proper order for all meetings, and properly cleaned after meetings.
Time Commitment:
There is no set time commitment. It is generally acknowledged that the Vice President will attend all general meetings and all board meetings whenever possible. The Vice President will record board meeting minutes when the Secretary is unavailable. The Secretary will assume the Vice Presidents duties when he/she is unavailable.
