Greeting Host

Mission:

The primary objective of the Greeting Host is to welcome members as they arrive at monthly meetings. Although the Greeting Host does not hold a voting position on the Loveland Photographic Society (LPS) Board of Directors, the chairperson should make every effort to attend all board meetings (six scheduled per year: first Tuesday of odd months) to help direct the club in the decision making process.

Basic Duties:

1. To make current members, new members, and guests feel welcome at LPS monthly meetings.
2. To help guests fill out a guest profile.
3. To direct persons wishing to become a new member to the membership chair to fill out a member signup sheet and to the treasurer to pay dues.

Time Commitment:

There is no set time commitment. The chair should attend monthly meetings or find someone willing to perform the duties in their absence.

Benefits:

Making members, potential new members, and guests feel welcome helps the club gain and retain membership. Be a spokesperson for the club and know what activities are available. Personal benefits include getting to greet and meet members.
